Aloe Vera is a flowering succulent that can be used both as a plant and as a remedy. Aloe plants have been used for medicinal purposes for centuries, dating back to pre-historical times. In the Middle Ages, aloe was used for relieving skin ailments such as burns and wounds. In modern medicine, Aloe is mostly used topically to soothe minor cuts and burns. It also has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Plant Aloe Vera will like a lot of light, but not if the plant is in direct sunlight. Try to choose a place in the house where there is sufficient light but no sunlight.

Aloe vera plant will grow well in warm places, so you may need to mist it regularly during hot days to prevent wilting.
Aloe plants don’t need much water and should be watered only when the soil has dried out. But make sure that your Aloe plant gets enough watering during its growing period, this is usually during spring and summer as it needs more food then.
Remove the leaves from the plant. You can use a sharp or serrated knife for this. Be careful, because the plant’s sap is poisonous and contains an enzyme that can cause severe skin burns.

Aloe can be grown indoors or outdoors (depending on how cold it gets where you live). It likes a lot of sunlight and warmth as well as water during its growing season, usually March through October.
Aloe should not be watered too often. It’s better to stick with deep watering more frequently than frequent lighter watering in order to avoid rotting the roots.
